Welcome to Front Range Armored Group, Inc., an organization which has grown in purpose to not only provide miniature historical reenactments of armored vehicle battles and museum quality exhibits, but to also support RC Car & Truck enthusiasts, and provide assistance to Military Veterans. To our friends, we are best known as “FRAG”.

FRAG was started by 4 patriotic Colorado men who shared a passion for military history, model building and honoring military Veterans. Their goal was to utilize 1/16th scale RC model tanks to reenact military battles, demonstrate military tactics and share Military Interpretive History with the public. FRAG was fortunate in the year 2000 to secure a parcel of land and over the following years constructed a world class miniature replication of a Normandy battle scene, circa July-August 1944. This historic re-creation of a World War II battlefield has long been enjoyed by the general public including civic groups, scout troops, school classes, Veterans, and many special guests who have all watched miniature battles unfold and learned about the Machinery and Men who fought and died so many years ago.

BUT THE TIME HAS COME FOR FRAG TO MOVE FORWARD

In May of 2020 FRAG was forced to dismantle its outside facility, and thus announces it will rebuild as an indoor RC Pavilion with 1/16th scale AFV museum exhibits. Our goal is to now serve the public year round without regard to weather, to offer multiple historic battlefield scenarios for everyone to enjoy, along with permanent museum exhibits, an area serving our Veterans, a research library for modelers, and areas to serve RC truckers and race car enthusiasts. Once we are open, you can bring the family and run your RC vehicles, participate in the battle games or just watch & learn about historical actions such as (a) Modern Desert Warfare, (b) America's WWII fight with the German Afrika Korps, (c) Winter Operations during the Battle of the Bulge, (d) the challenges of Assaulting a Landing Beach, and of course (e) all about the 1944 Normandy hedgerow and small village struggles that soldiers faced.
